The full targeted save funnel

Require a reason, then show each customer the one offer most likely to save them — discount for price, pause for breaks, support for problems.

The highest-converting retention setup isn’t one offer — it’s a reason-targeted funnel. Require a cancellation reason, then map each reason to the offer most likely to save it: discount and downgrade for ‘too expensive,’ pause for ‘need a break,’ support for ‘technical issues.’ This recipe is the master blueprint that combines the individual offer recipes into one coherent funnel.

What you get
  • Every canceller picks a reason, so offers are precisely targeted.
  • Price objections see a discount and a downgrade.
  • Break-seekers see a pause; problem-citers see support.
  • Maximum save rate from a single coherent funnel.

Good to know

Notes & edge cases

Multiple eligible offers can show at once — a price objector can see both discount and downgrade cards.
The downgrade offer needs Pro plan switching with linked downgrade products.
Always keep an ‘Other’ reason with offers for the unexpected cases.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Yes. ‘Too expensive’ can show both a discount and a downgrade. All eligible offers appear together and the customer chooses one.

They must explicitly click ‘No thanks, continue to cancel.’ Closing the modal does not cancel — and accepting any offer clears the pending cancellation.
