End-of-period cancellation with undo
Don’t cut customers off mid-cycle. Let cancellations take effect at period end, keep their paid access, and give them an undo button.
- Cancel at period end
- Keeps paid access
- Undo button for second thoughts
How a cancellation is timed quietly drives retention. End-of-period cancellation keeps the customer Active until their paid period ends — they keep what they paid for, no future renewal runs, and crucially they get an Undo Cancellation button to change their mind before it executes. That undo window saves a surprising share of cancellations. This recipe switches cancellation from immediate to end-of-period.
- Cancellations schedule for the end of the paid period.
- The customer keeps access until then — no abrupt cut-off.
- An Undo Cancellation button lets them reverse it.
- No further renewal is charged once scheduled.
