Customer skip & pause

Give subscribers a pressure valve — skip the next renewal or pause for a set time — so they flex instead of cancelling.

  • Skip next renewal
  • Pause up to 30 days
  • Self-service in the portal
No credit card required
FreeRecurring billing

The cheapest churn save is letting customers skip or pause instead of cancel. ArraySubs lets subscribers skip the next renewal (pushing the date forward) or pause the subscription (On-Hold, then auto-resume), all self-service from the customer portal. This recipe enables both with sensible guardrails — a skip cutoff and a max pause duration — so flexibility doesn’t become abuse.

What you get
  • Customers skip a renewal (date shifts forward) instead of cancelling.
  • Customers pause up to 30 days; the subscription auto-resumes.
  • Next payment date extends by the days paused/skipped.
  • Fewer cancellations during travel and slow seasons.

Good to know

Notes & edge cases

A paused subscription goes On-Hold and generates no invoices; the next payment date shifts forward by the days paused.
Skip pushes the renewal forward by one cycle; pause shifts by actual days.
This self-service pause is separate from the retention-flow pause offer (which auto-resumes after a fixed duration).

FAQ

Questions, answered

Skip moves the next renewal forward by one billing cycle while the subscription stays Active. Pause sets it On-Hold for a number of days, then auto-resumes, shifting the next payment date by the days paused.

No — Max pause duration caps a single pause (e.g. 30 days) and a cooldown prevents back-to-back pauses. For indefinite pausing, use admin controls.
