Per-tier session limits (streaming-style)

Sell screens like the streaming services — each plan gets its own number of simultaneous logins, enforced automatically.

  • Limit by plan
  • Basic 1 / Standard 3 / Premium 5
  • Highest match wins

ProRestrict & gate

Streaming taught everyone that ‘number of screens’ is a sellable feature. Login Limit rules (Pro) cap concurrent sessions per plan — Basic 1, Standard 3, Premium 5 — and when a member exceeds it, the oldest session drops. Unlike the global cap, these are per-tier. (For the store-wide anti-sharing cap, see the Manage-subscriptions ‘limit concurrent logins’ recipe.) This recipe sets per-tier seats.

What you get
  • Each tier gets its own simultaneous-device allowance.
  • Exceeding the limit logs out the oldest session.
  • Higher tiers sell more ‘screens’.
  • Falls back to the global default when no rule matches.

FAQ

Questions, answered

The global cap (Toolkit) applies one limit to everyone; Login Limit rules set different limits per plan/tier. When both apply, the highest matching limit wins.

The newest login succeeds and the oldest session is logged out automatically, keeping the member within their tier’s allowance.
