Charge shipping on every renewal

Physical boxes ship every cycle — so shipping should bill every cycle. Add recurring shipping, with an optional fixed renewal rate.

  • Shipping on each renewal
  • Optional flat renewal rate
  • Per-variation

ProRecurring billing

Physical subscriptions — boxes, refills, consumables — ship on every renewal, so shipping should bill on every renewal too. Subscription Shipping (Pro) adds a Recurring shipping type to physical subscription products, and an optional Renewal Shipping Override to charge a flat rate (e.g. $5.99) instead of recalculating live rates each cycle. This recipe sets recurring shipping.

What you get
  • Shipping is charged on the initial order and every renewal.
  • Optionally lock a flat renewal shipping rate.
  • Renewals use the subscription’s current shipping address.
  • Each variation can set its own shipping behaviour.

  3. Optionally set a flat renewal rate

Leave overrides blank to use live WooCommerce rates, or set a Renewal Shipping Override (e.g. 5.99) for a fixed per-renewal charge.

Good to know

Notes & edge cases

If an override is blank, WooCommerce’s normal shipping calculation is used; if set, that stored amount is used on renewal orders.
The shipping fields only appear when the product is a subscription and requires shipping (not virtual/downloadable).
Renewal orders use the current subscription shipping address, not the one copied at original checkout.
