Auto-apply store credit to renewals
Put credit to work automatically — every renewal checks the customer’s balance and applies it before charging the card.
- Silent on every renewal
- Subscription credit first
- Optional minimum threshold
Store credit is only useful if it gets spent. With Auto-Apply to Renewals (Pro) on, every renewal invoice checks the customer’s credit and applies it before charging — subscription-level credit first (e.g. from a downgrade), then customer-level credit. An optional minimum order amount lets you skip applying credit to tiny charges. This recipe configures automatic credit application.
- Credit reduces every renewal automatically — no customer action.
- Subscription-level credit is consumed before customer-level.
- Applied as a negative fee, keeping the order total intact.
- A minimum-order threshold can protect small charges from credit.
