Monthly and annual options on one product

Let customers pick monthly or annual from a single product page — each variation carries its own price, cycle, and trial.

  • One product, two billing options
  • Per-variation pricing & trials
  • Customers self-select at checkout
No credit card required
FreeRecurring billing

Offering monthly and annual side by side is the classic ‘save with annual’ play — and it converts best when both options live on one product page so customers compare and choose. ArraySubs uses variable subscriptions: a single product with a ‘Billing’ attribute (Monthly / Annual), where each variation has its own independent price, billing cycle, and trial. This recipe builds a $29/month vs $249/year selector.

What you get
  • One product page presents both billing options in a dropdown.
  • Subscription details update live as the customer switches options.
  • Each option keeps independent price, cycle, and trial.
  • Customers can later switch options with proration (Pro plan switching).

Notes & edge cases

You can’t mix subscription and non-subscription variations — enabling Subscription on the parent applies to all variations.
Each variation has a full, independent set of subscription fields (price, cycle, trial, signup fee, renewal price).
Set the annual price below 12× the monthly price to make the annual saving obvious.
